Honoring Our Team: 2025 Holiday Closings & Enforcement Policy
Holiday closings are a vital part of our commitment to quality and team sustainability at Destin Housekeeping Services, LLC. Our cleaning professionals work hard year-round to deliver high-standard turnovers, and they deserve dedicated time to rest and spend holidays with their families. We observe scheduled Holiday Closings throughout the year, and these dates are strictly enforced. Owners are expected to plan around these closures, as service is not available and exceptions are not made.
To protect their well-being, and to maintain the integrity of our services, we strictly observe the following holiday closures and enforce scheduling policies related to same-day bookings.
Same-Day Booking Policy (No Back-to-Backs on Holidays)
If an owner schedules a guest departure and same-day arrival on a holiday:
- A $250 Holiday Fee
Long Stay Fee Policy
Properties with extended bookings of 7+ nights will incur a $100 Long Stay Fee to compensate for reduced service frequency and operational revenue. Accounts averaging less than 5 turnovers per month may not be retained.
We specialize in vacation rental turnover cleaning — not residential or commercial services.
That specialization means we keep our team available, trained, and responsive to the unique needs of short-term rentals.
But that also means we rely entirely on consistent turnover volume to survive. Vacation rentals are seasonal by nature, and cleaners are only paid when a property turns over. If a property doesn’t book regularly, it becomes financially unsustainable for us to keep it on the schedule.
We do not accept long-term stays, low-volume units, or owners who hide calendars or bypass policies.
If we accepted residential and commercial jobs, we might survive the off-season — but then we wouldn’t be available for your property when you need us most.
To stay focused, responsive, and operationally sound, we require a minimum average of 5 turnovers per month.
Properties falling below that may be discontinued.

To ensure seamless guest experiences and operational efficiency:
- Avoid same-day bookings on observed holidays
- Update calendars in full
- Book well in advance of holiday weekends

To maintain seamless guest turnovers, we recommend printing this schedule as a reference when planning vacation rental bookings. Our standard housekeeping schedule runs Monday through Sunday, with the exception of these observed holidays.
