At Destin Housekeeping Services, our onboarding process includes deep cleaning, decluttering, linen prep, and full property readiness. We work directly with owners to ensure each home is cleaned, cleared, and ready for smooth turnover service.


Our Onboarding Process: Clean First. Stage Second.

We begin with hands-on property prep:

  • Deep Cleaning
  • Laundry care and linen zone prep

Only after the property is fully cleaned do we begin staging and restocking. We don’t just decorate — we prepare vacation rentals to function cleanly and efficiently for every guest.

Daily Communication and Updates

During onboarding, we keep you informed every step of the way:

  • Progress updates with photos
  • Clear flags on items that may need removal or replacement
  • No items removed without written approval

We work fast and with full respect for your home. Quick owner response helps prevent delays.

💬 Invoicing is based on hours worked and scope completed. You receive a daily breakdown at the end of each service day.

After onboarding, we continue service with scheduled turnover cleans and laundry care.

Guest Amenities Done Right

We stock refillable bottles, organize amenity baskets, and place guest supplies with care. These finishing touches leave a strong impression — and help encourage direct guest rebooking via info cards or signs.

Housekeeping Equipment Is Not Optional

Guests spill drinks, track in sand, and leave messes between visits. The right tools must be onsite to handle mid-stay needs or emergencies.

We require properties to have:

  • Vacuum (with attachments)
  • Mop and broom
  • Basic housekeeping tools

All equipment remains onsite — not shared between units — to prevent cross-contamination and reduce pest transfer risk (including bed bugs).

Deep Cleaning for a Fresh Start

Our onboarding clean goes far beyond a standard turnover.
We clean behind appliances, under furniture, around baseboards, and over ceiling fans — resetting the home for high standards from the start.

After onboarding, we maintain about 85% of that deep clean level year-round. An off-season reset is recommended once annually to protect surfaces, prevent damage, and uphold your guest-ready presentation.

We use only approved tools and cleaning products that protect surfaces and avoid residue.
That means:

  • No sticky all-purpose sprays
  • No greasy grout cleaners
  • No mirror-clouding glass sprays
